New 'GT' version features an internal filter wheel
The new 'GT' range of ZWO cameras have all the great features and performance of the 'Pro' range but now include an integrated 5-position, ultra-quiet electronic filter wheel as well as new features such as 12v power distribution.
The all-in-one design allows you to reduce cable clutter needing only one power and one USB cable for the camera and filterwheel. Combined with the on-board USB2.0 hub you can reduce cables even further.
Integrated or modular?
There is a lot to like about this camera's new integrated design but, for many, the decision whether to buy an ASI 1600GT with integrated filter wheel vs a ASI 1600 MM Pro camera and separate EFW filter-wheel will be determined by how many filters they want to use (5x or 7x).

DDR Memory Buffer
ZWO Pro cameras feature a 256MB DDR3 memory buffer to help maintain data transfer stability and reduce amp-glow issues caused by the slow data transfer speed when using a USB2.0 port.
All ZWO cameras include a 2-year warranty.
Camera Field of View Simulator
The ASI1600 Pro offers very good astrophotography performance - low read noise, low dark current and high dynamic range.
Proposed QE peak value is more than 60%.
The internal 5-position electronic filter wheel (EFW) can accept both 1.25” and 31mm filters. The EFW is driven by a whisper quiet high grade stepper motor.
Important Note: The thickness of the 1.25” filter cannot exceed 7mm (without threads), and the thread must be shorter than 2.5mm to avoid the filter wheel striking the camera housing.
The body of the EFW is CNC milled from an aircraft grade Aluminium block finished in an attractive and hardwearing anodised finish. The inner surface of the EFA has been especially treated to prevent internal light reflections.
The camera body has 24 heat radiating grooves fitted with dual maglev fans to ensure the temperature difference before and after cooling remains between 40-45℃ below ambient temperature. (Tested at 30℃). The lower the ambient temperature is, the lower the delta-T will be
